Destination Lisbon

A location full of history

My Story Hotel Rossio

My Story Hotel Rossio is strategically located on D. Pedro IV Square, popularly known as Rossio. This site was transformed after the 1755 earthquake due to the reconstruction that followed. This building has witnessed history and belongs to the innovative set of anti-seismic buildings built at the time, being a mandatory stop on any tourist itinerary.

But this square is full of interesting sites, such as Cafe Nicola, founded in 1779 and a typical meeting point for politicians, artists and respected poets like Bocage.

During the Second World War, this square was also used as a meeting point for refugees arriving in Portugal. Its terrace is one of the icons of the city of Lisbon. We would also like to highlight the presence of the National Theatre D. Maria II, classified as a national monument and where you can find the most diverse cultural activities, from plays and exhibitions to poetry meetings.

My Story Hotel Rossio

Two steps away is the neighbouring Liberdade Avenue. Built in the middle of the 19th century, today it is one of the most popular parts of the city, known for the elegance of its buildings and the exclusivity of the stores located there.

From Rossio you can appreciate the excellent views of the Castle of São Jorge that deserves a visit.
